Zenyum invisible braces - alternative to invisalign

If you’re thinking about straightening your teeth to improve your smile, you’ve probably heard about invisible braces, also known as clear aligners.

Likely, you’ve come across the names, Invisalign and Zenyum.

There are a multitude of other clear aligner options promising to straighten your teeth with zero hours spent in the dentist chair.

This begs the question: Which invisible braces option is best for you?

In this article we highlight the key benefits of Zenyum, what it does and how it’s different to other popular brands like Invisalign. Read on for the low-down.

Zenyum vs Invisalign: How Do They Compare?

Zenyum has quickly grown to become one of Asia’s largest consumer brands, establishing its presence in nine markets across Asia, by transforming the invisible braces experience – read more here.

Align Technology, Inc – the creators of Invisalign clear aligners – was one of the first and largest firms to manufacture plastic aligners.

The idea was simple: use 3D visualisation and CAD (computer-aided design) software, to create custom-made clear aligners for individual treatment plans.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what to expect from each brand.

What are invisible braces?

Clear braces are a transparent, plastic alternative to traditional metal braces used to adjust and align teeth. They are removable (unlike metal braces) and work by exerting consistent pressure on your teeth, so they shift and straighten over time.

Invisible braces might seem like a modern invention. But in reality, dentists have been using plastic to shift teeth since the end of World War 2.

The problem was it wasn’t the most convenient procedure.

Given technological constraints, you’d need to visit the dentist every time to get new putty impressions of your teeth. It wasn’t until the advent of 3D-scanning technology, and specialised software that dentists could create accurate digital impressions, map out a treatment plan and fast-track the manufacture of plastic aligners at scale.

What is Zenyum?

Zenyum Aligner Box

Zenyum is a Smile Cosmetics startup that aims to make invisible braces more accessible in Asia. Zenyum uses 3D scans, CAD software, and 3D-printing to customise our transparent braces.

Zenyum is 70% more affordable than traditional teeth-straightening options. That doesn’t mean we compromise on quality though.

We focus on:

● Giving you great value for money,

● Centralising our aligner production in the region,

● Streamlining our processes with technology, and

● Passing the savings on to you, giving you more reason to smile!

You will have to see the dentist in person at least 3–4 times, but this pales in comparison to other invisible braces providers where 10+ visits is the norm.

How do we achieve this?

Through smart technology.

Upload pictures of your teeth with a qualified dental professional monitoring your teeth movements, so you save chair time in clinics.
